Nutrition Programming in The Digital Age
Better, Faster, Easier

Where does your food database come from?

The food in our system is from a clinical-level database that has been third party verified and contains at the core the USDA and Canadian food data obtained from the national organizations. The remaining database comes from university tested clinical research and is typically the median values taken from several research sources (average of many clinical studies for a particular food and nutrient profile). It’s used extensively in university research so we have thoroughly validated its accuracy. We also currently have about 50K+ community added foods that mostly have been verified but caution should still be used when using a community food for any planning, making sure the nutrition values are correct.
